Zuni carver, Emory Boone, created this Jet bear fetish with inlaid Turquoise, Coral and Mother-of-Pearl. The bear represents strength, courage, and the power of the soul in Zuni cosmology, while the rain cloud promises much needed moisture for desert-dwelling people. Measuring approximately 1-1/4" X 1-1/4", the bear attaches with a sterling silver loop to the 6mm Black Onyx rondelles. Accented with two vintage Turquoise rectangular beads and four sterling silver beads made in Arizona, the necklace graduates in the back with 4mm and 5mm round Black Onyx beads. Kit finishes to 19" and includes sterling silver clasp and crimps, stringing material and instructions.
