These artful creations of a vanishing species show influences from Art Nouveau to Lalique, yet remain true to the bee. Made here in the Southwest of sterling silver and Shibuichi (an ancient Japanese method of alloying silver with copper), they are articulated with wings that can move gently up and down. They have been carved in wax, molded, and then cast. The result is regal, sensitive, and poignant.
