While studying physics at BYU, he continued to make jewelry to support himself and eventually moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. Returning to the reservation after a few years, he fully embraced jewelry-making, where he excelled, winning awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum, and the Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial. He is represented in the collections of many European and American Museums.
