The Perspicacious Parrot Necklace Kit
|
This whimiscal turquoise parrot is hand-carved for us in New Mexico and pays homage to one of the most intelligent birds on earth. Parrots are more threatened with extinction than any other group of birds. 10% of the price of this kit (and anything else you order with it) will be donated to Wings Over The Rainbow, a sanctuary for abused and abandoned exotic birds in Ohio.
The kit includes the parrot pendant wrapped on sterling silver wire, black onyx and sterling beads, Kingman, Arizona heishi, sterling silver and black onyx accent beads. It finishes to 24" and includes sterling clasp and crimps, stringing material, instructions.

White Heart Trade Beads
|
These legendary Venetian glass trade beads have been continiously made in Italy from the late 1600s to modern times and were named by Native Americans who favored them greatly and noted their white core.
Traded by the Hudson Bay Company and carried by countless European explorers to the New World, these beads have been collected by tribal people from Africa to Peru, from Arizona to Alaska, Canada, Nova Scotia and myriad stops in between.
These beads date circa 1900 A.D. and measure approximately 24 inches of beads plus approximately three inches of wound cotton on the back. White Hearts come with a short monograph on their history and lore.

Grey and white fresh water pearls combine with Abstract Impressionist jasper to make this breathtaking yet subtle three-strand necklace.
Kit includes five strands 4mm white pearls, thirty-one small gray pearls, 4 large gray coin pearls, eleven large gray baroque pearls, nineteen large white baroque pearls, 7 blacklip shell coin beads, twenty-two Abstract Impressionist jasper beads, sterling toggle clasp and crimp beads, stringing material, and illustrated instructions for laying out each strand and finishing each strand.
Kit finishes to a three-strand necklace of 40 inches per strand. It can also be made into three dramatic asymmetrical opera-length necklaces.

The hand-carved and painted sleepy kitty pendant is made of bone and attached wirth sterling silver wire. It's strung with 4mm round black onyx beads with accents of bone and sterling silver to make a charming little choker. Antique White Heart Trade Beads
|
These rare and wonderful beads were made for tribal trade in Venice, circa 1900. Like the original red-colored White Heart beads, these beads have a wound core of white glass. Their vibrant turquoise color was highly prized by the indigenous peoples of the Americas, Africa and along the old Silk Route. Strands measure 20" inches of beads, excluding the back of river rushes that they are strung on. Quantities are limited.
